Long COVID is defined as symptoms that persist for more than four weeks after the initial COVID-19 infection.
Imperial College London estimates that more than 2 million adults in England have had Long COVID for over 12 weeks (24/06/21). This is almost double the previous estimate from the Office of National Statistics (ONS).

What can I expect during my Long COVID treatment at Chelsea Medics?
Patients would first have a bespoke consultation including past medical history and a comprehensive examination, assessing physical, cognitive and psychological symptoms, as well as your functional abilities.
We will then arrange any necessary investigations and tests to confirm the presence of Long COVID and identify complications. We will review test results, confirm diagnosis with you and then create a management plan that may includes referrals to our recommended specialists if required.
This will be followed-up with ongoing monitoring of your symptoms as well as continued evaluation of the efficacy of any treatment and modification if necessary.
