Step 1: Comprehensive Memory Assessment Package
Your journey begins with a 30-minute consultation at Chelsea Medics, designed to give a clear picture of your brain health.
What’s included:
- Medical History Review – Understanding your background, family history, and risk factors.
- Physical Examination – Checking overall health indicators.
- Brain Health Memory Test – We use a gold-standard, evidence-based screening tool to evaluate your brain health.
- Metabolic Brain Health Blood Screening –This test looks for key markers linked to memory health, chosen specifically for you during your visit.
These tests help identify reversible causes of memory issues and provide a baseline for further care.
This consultation is available at a fee of £235. Please note that any necessary blood tests will be charged separately.
Step 2: Advanced Memory Care Investigations (If clinically indicated)
If your initial assessment indicates that further evaluation may be appropriate, we offer a range of additional investigations tailored to your symptoms:

pTau217 Blood Test – A new innovative biomarker (blood marker) for Alzheimer’s disease, helping to differentiate from other neurodegenerative conditions. This test must be conducted under expert guidance to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
The pTau217 blood test is designed for people who are experiencing memory problems or other signs of cognitive decline. This test helps doctors understand whether Alzheimer’s disease might be the cause, and it can also help distinguish Alzheimer’s from other conditions that affect the brain. It’s important to know that this test is not used on its own to diagnose Alzheimer’s disease. Your doctor will consider the results alongside other assessments, such as a clinical evaluation, memory tests, and other diagnostic tests.
- MRI Brain Scan – Detailed imaging to assess structural abnormalities.
- Neurologist Referral – We can refer you to a specialist cognitive (memory) neurologist. Your specialist will have all your results in advance, enabling a thorough discussion on your pTau and MRI results, and more extensive memory testing. Please note the neurologist will invoice separately for services.
